  I just had a very ridiculous experience in this ShopRite. To get some cash back to pay my Nanny and hairdresser tomorrow, I chose to have $100 cash back when I paid with my debit card for my grocery. The cashier gave me a $100 banknote. I asked the cashier to give me the $100 cash in the form of three $20 banknotes + two $10 banknotes + one $5 banknotes + ten $1 banknotes. When she counted these banknotes, I realized that there would be a $10 short. So, I told the cashier about that and asked for another two $5 banknotes. She didn't listen to me but counted the banknotes two more time herself. And, she believed that it was $100 in total. I knew the total was only $90. So, I counted all these banknotes again after I took them over and showed my counting result to her. So, she took over the banknotes from my hand and counted them again and again. Finally, she admitted that she was wrong. But, since she has closed her cash drawers, she couldn't open it again. Then she had to ask help. A lady came over to help her. But, I were told to wait for the cashier needed to check something again. That cashier disappeared for 15 minutes. Then, another lady came to me handed me the $100 in total with three $20 banknotes + four $10 banknotes. Even though this was not what I required originally. But, I didn't say anything for I was in a hurry to leave to pick up my son from his tennis lesson. However, this lady(she looked like a manager)began to lesson me that I shouldn't have any request for the combination of my cash back. I had done this kind of requests in many other grocery stores before and I had never had experience in either the shortage of cash or the long waiting time for resolving the problem. No mention the unfriendly attitude the store manager gave to me after the long waiting. I think the calculation for a total of 100 is such a basic thing for any middle school graduate. Even though this cashier may make mistake at the first place, she should not still make mistake after counting the banknotes for so many times. And, the manager should not treat me like it was my fault after they made such a low level mistake and kept me waiting such a long time. This ShopRite has been my favorite grocery store for so many years. Now, I have to question the qualification of both the cashier and the manager. Should the store give them some basic training and exam before they start to work with customers? The quality of this kind of service is not acceptable for me.
